The TNC series product is a threaded derivative of the BNC connector, featuring screw threads for a secure connection. These compact, threaded, and waterproof units maintain a consistent 50-ohm impedance and operate within the DC to 11 GHz frequency range. There are two primary types of TNC connectors: standard and reverse polarity. Constructed from die-cast and molded materials, these cost-effective connectors are well-suited for a variety of commercial uses. While their performance may not rival industrial or high-performance products, they are commonly used for antenna connections and have many applications in avionics, communications, and general industry. Additionally, reverse polarity and 75-ohm variants of the TNC connectors are also available.
